The currently book I am reading right now is “The Handbook for the Boys” who is written by Walter Dean Myers. What I just read is that Duke talks to Jimmy about a guy named Frank Greene bought a watch from another guy who stole the watch. The police caught the thief and wanted the stolen items. So Mr. Frank was in deep trouble because he had bought a stolen watch. So that is what I have been reading!
So far this book is a little boring to me because there is not too much action in this book like all they talk about is about the customers but I think it is going to get better. One of my favorite parts is when Duke mentions about the blind monkey strut. I think this tells that Duke is kind of superstitious.
I would compare this book to my life because I see this happen about the people in the barbershop talking about the customers in my neighborhood. I can also connect this to a movie because they do this in movies.
I have some questions for you like if Duke should start to mind his own business? Do you think Jimmy cares about the customers? and Do you think this is a good book so fare?
